This aerial panoramic photograph of Chicago was taken by James Blakeway. This view features Navy Pier with its shops, restaurants and Ferris wheel ride. To the left of Navy Pier is the mouth of the Chicago River as it joins with Lake Michigan. Continuing further left is the 110-floor Sears Tower with its twin antennas and Grant Park with Buckingham Fountain in the park's center. To the right is the John Hancock building with its striped antennas. At the far right is the area of Chicago known as the Gold Coast. Chicago has the world's largest inland port and the largest concentration of rail, truck and air transportation.
