Chicago, Illinois Series 5

This aerial panoramic photograph of Chicago was taken by James Blakeway. On the left is Grant Park, which lies on the waterfront behind the marina. To the right is the 110-floor Sears Tower with its multiple antennae. Continuing right is the mouth of the Chicago River as it flows into Lake Michigan. The 92-story Trump International Hotel and Tower is adjacent to the river entry. Upon completion in 2009, it will be the second tallest building in the United States with a height of 1,362 feet. In the foreground is Navy Pier, an entertainment locale featuring shops, restaurants and a Ferris wheel ride. Chicago has a large inland port and concentration of rail, truck and air transportation.
