Comiskey Park 69

This photograph was taken of Comiskey Park by Brad Cavanaugh. After 81 years in the old Comiskey Park, on April 18, 1991...New Comiskey Park opens before a sellout crowd of 42,191 as the Tigers cruise past the White Sox, 16-0. Old Comiskey's home plate is a marble plaque on the sidewalk next to U.S. Cellular Field and the foul lines are painted in the parking lot. Also, the spectator ramp across 35th Street is designed in such a way (partly curved, partly straight but angling east-northeast) that it echoes the contour of the old first-base grandstand.
